Serving the Church

Take an active role at Memorial

Whether you want to help the youth, the elderly, cut grass or trim bushes, help in the office or lead in worship, Memorial is a place you can serve and take an active role in doing  things. Identify an opportunity and volunteer!

Opportunities for you to:

Help the Church Look Its Best

Our lawn and garden groups tend to the details of maintaining the outside of the church. We need people who enjoy working with their hands and don't mind getting a bit dirty or sweaty during the summer.

Help with the Elderly

We have teams leading worship at John Knox Retirement Center. We also need people who would enjoy reading to our homebound members.

Help with the Youth

We have teams serving in our youth group, children's choirs, Sunday School, nursery care, and weekday Children's Center. Please note that all volunteers who work with children at Memorial agree to a background check by the state.

Help in Worship

Worship is led by an all-volunteer choir, liturgists, and our pastor. If you would like to inquire about our sanctuary or children's choirs, or if you would like to know about being a liturgist please let us know.

Help in the Church Office

Our office volunteers are simply the best. We offer two different shifts each day except Friday. Volunteers help our office manager and other staff with tasks, answer phones, and go above and beyond the call of duty always to make visitors feel warmly welcomed.

Help with Food

Each week we put our wonderful kitchen to use so if you have an interest in cooking we have a place for you! Our bi-weekly Master's Meals program serves the community with meals. We also need cooks for our Wednesday night cooking and serving teams. Special events provide other opportunities for you to help with cooking or serving food.
